Today was excellent. It’s something I’ve never done before, so it’s brand new to me, but it was absolutely excellent. I enjoyed it. The weather’s helped – it’s been absolutely fantastic – and it’s a lovely place.
For me, today isn’t only about enjoying the clay pigeon shooting. It’s really about meeting the team that I’m working with. I’ve committed quite a bit of investment to the company, and it’s brilliant to come and physically speak to them.

The main benefit to me is obviously the returns – that’s the main benefit, I think, for any investor – but I think it’s a really easy investment. The team manage it really well. They make it so easy for me. They acquire the stock, they help you sell the stock, and it’s just seamless really, so it’s pretty much a hands-off investment.
Through events like this and meeting the guys, I’m quite confident about what my money’s doing and where it’s going, so that was really important to me. I’ve got complete confidence in the broker and the team, and they’re all lovely people.
I get the feeling they know what they’re doing. They know the market. The people I deal with seem to live and breathe it. It’s not just a job or an interest, and I trust them.
Like I said before, the team are always welcoming and interesting. It’s always humorous and good-natured, and on the back of thoroughly enjoying myself, they’re helping me fund my future as well.

Working with UKV has actually been really, really good. They’re really attentive. They do listen. They come back to you. They come up with some great strategies and some great ideas.
However, if that strategy or idea isn’t right for you at that moment in time, there’s no pressure. It’s about whether the time is right for you and whether the moment is right to invest. They try to get the best for you. In my experience, it’s been really, really good.
I think events like these are really fantastic. As I said before, it gives you a great opportunity to speak with other investors, but more importantly it puts faces to names with UKV, which I think is really essential in creating relationships going forward.
